University Utara Malaysia (UUM) is a long time users of AVEM's product such as DTS Lighting, Behringer and Audiocenter. In their latest addition, UUM installs weatherproof version of line array system to Stadium Of University Utara Malaysia.
Stadium Of University Utara Malaysia is an outdoor venue but the system is not totally exposed to natural elements. However, due to the open architecture of the stadium, there are high probability of rainwater being blown to the line array. UUM do not want to have any risk for such high investment audio system, and they decided to go straight for a weatherproof version of the line array.
Together with our system integrator, we proposed the custom made and weatherproof version of Audiocenter KLA-210WP line array system. The dual 10" woofer line array is excellent with outdoor performance due to the capability to "throw" the sound far into the open field. A total of 8 units of KLA-210WP are installed at the grandstand of the stadium aiming towards the field.
Overall the system perform fantastically and users are extremely satisfied with this audio system. The system perform exactly as what we have simulated with software that determined the height of the installation points and the angling of each cabinet of the line array.
Update: In 2020, UUM installs standard version Audiocenter KLA-210 into it auditorium/hall.
